Locky brings way more to this side than just his skills as a player. The Broncos actually believe they can win with him there. If we went in the 2nd half with Locky, 24-12 down, I reckon we were still a chance to win it. However, I knew at 1/2 time we were gone. Wal cannot put kicking pressure on a side and Norman is a kid with bad hands. I'd love to know how many sets we completed in the 2nd half. We tried to out-fluke a fluke side. Broncos are too well drilled for that. Unfortunately the brains have been cut out and it was all balls and it turned to absolute shit.
If the Brocnos team need a player to believe they're a chance at winning then they shouldn't even be in the finals tbh. What a bunch of amateurs.
That's the thing, they are barely on the cusp of professionals. They have youth all over the place, and really rely on Locky to get them out of trouble. Wal is just shit and hasn't done anything decent on his own since 2008. Thaiday has nosedived. The lack of a 2nd Run on Prop is killing us too. Teo doesn't run up the middle, even with the 10 on his back. Tronc was the only bloke we had for the majority of the game making metres up the middle. If Kenny is no good, we need to start with Anderson or McGuire. Even though Dodds kills it in defence, he needs to do more work with the ball to start warranting his spot IMO. Especially when Kenny comes back into the side.
