    As we're batting allrounders you'd expect batting to be the deciding factor. Which I'm a little ahead on... but then there's the fact we'll be the only spinners and your ahead on bowling for the minute. (slightly)

    Competition is immense for spots for Team GB as a whole now. Cant wait for the GB games to start, regardless of wether I get a game or not. Will be good to see how well the 1st team will do and see what the Academy team are like in there first games together.

    Hopefully both teams will gun it and Rob and everyone else will see just how good GB has become.

    Why?

    He really hasnt doesnt done anything compared to others.

    EDIT: Actually did not notice is good FC average.

    TBH cause there is nothing really between you in the bowling then batting is playing a part but if one was way ahead in the bowling department their batting would not even matter cause you are actually competeing on being the spinner not on being the batting allrounder.

    - it gives you four frontline bowlers.. which is pretty necessary
    - Woodward has taken 15 wickets @ 20 this season

    Woodward's a must.
    Dafter should play for McGregor.

    That is who he would come in for. As you say we do need his bowling. 2 of the bowlers are likely to be batting allrounders so IMO it should be a 6 person attack.

    I personally don't think that the academy should be developing inactive players.

    You wouldn't see England U19s/Lions playing players who don't care. Same deal.

    Would rather see a fully active slightly weaker team than a slightly stronger team which promotes an inactive member.

    1st XI just pick the best players, Academy the best prospects. Someone who is inactive with 50 posts just won't develop in the same way. Go with activity and perfomances on a par.

    McGregor's not really any more active than Woodward though TBH, and you do have to have team balance.

    Still need the extra bowling though tbh...

    Maybe drop McGregor for Dafter, and Woodward for an active bowler... if there is one.

    Haha nah there isn't one. Woodward's the most active of the bowlers on the count of him actually at least re-registering when the site came back up.

    Someone should just send him an email; he'd get back into it if he found out about the Academy series IMO.

    But McGregor does post a bit the Vipers subbie.

    Hopefull Swimmerdoog will become active again with the revamp of RU sim.

    I was sure that McGregs had been more active than that!

    Woodward is a bowling allrounder anyway, plus that arguement doesn't make sense in my arguement. We want active players in the team.

    However seeing as they are both inactive (Gregs and Wood) then picking Woodward is fair enough.
