how long will guys like Dwyer and Elliott keep there spots? with players like Thomas, Krakouer, Ball, Didak all still out, will they simply get pushed aside?
Elliot is in the best 22. Didak and Krakouer will struggle to get back in. But guys like Russell will be dropped before Dwyer.
If Thomas and Fasolo are both fit and get named this week I'd probably drop two of Johnson, Seedsman and Macaffer. Didak is touch and go best 22 at this stage so him and Krak will have to perform really well at VFL level and then hope that a few guys underperform in the seniors for them to get their spot back. Beams is another one who has to slot in as well. Good problems to have IMO, means everyone has to fight for their spot every week (barring any more injuries of course)
He was in our best 22 for the second half of last year and was always going to be in the best 22 to start this season. He's still only young and as Buckley said after the game, he's always had the talent and yesterday was the first time he's actually had an impact on the scoreboard. Yes we can't get too carried away but the kid has a heap of talent which has been evident not just yesterday but also the second half of last season.
I think its been made clear previously that Swanny doesn't take his football all that serious. He is a gun, yet has said he will be retiring at the end of his current contract - he will be roughly 30. Darren Jolly cleared of broken ribs - thank god for that
Fuck Westmeadows. They used to be the dirtiest club ever. Dane Swan king hit my brother, in an all in brawl that ended up with cops coming to the field and the match being abandoned
Changes for this week? At the moment I'd probably go with: Out: Jolly, Seedsman In: Hudson, D Thomas Give Fasolo another week in the VFL which gives Ben Johnson/Macaffer another week in the 1s to try and cement their spot. Apparently Luke Ball might be playing in the VFL this week? Good signs going forward for us!
