Schurle would be a horrible signing. Fuck the Matic move looks so bad now in hindsight. One of the best DMs around atm.
Sir Alex said in his presser yesterday, that it is looking very likely Mourinho will be at Chelsea next season. Take from that what you want.
Chelsea to surely finish top 3 next year if he does. He'll have the 'Scholes effect' if nothing else.
Mourinho + Falcao? Reckon that will bump them ahead of City. Esecially if they bring in Schurle for depth
You'd think "if anything" it's more likely to bump them above the team that's a lot of points below united before united
This was tweeted 3 days ago... Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri Abramovich promised to Mourinho, in this order: 1) Falcao; 2) Di Maria; 3) Moutinho; 4) Pepe. Thoughts? The only one of those I'd be happy with is Moutinho since our pivot's been really poor this season. Falcao, like I said in the Mourinho thread, would cost 40-50 mil and I'd prefer we gave Lukaku a shot since he's been miles better than Ba or Torres. Then we also have 40-50 mil to spend on a CB and a player like Moutinho to play in the pivot. Di Maria is a head scratcher, since we have so many players who can play in his position and he's older than most of those players. Especially with guys like KDB on loan and Marin who's warming the bench, would be a complete waste of money rather than letting either of them have a go. And lastly Pepe is another strange one. He's probably no better than Cahill or Terry, except that he's capable of killing a man with just his foot (impressive, it must be said), and he's 30. Also a defensive pairing of Terry and Pepe will probably make the world go into a hate overload. I'd rather we bought a guy like Hummels who will contribute now and for many years to come, if he became available, rather than Pepe who has 1-2 seasons. All in all, I hope this rumour is 75% false
Yep, I too believe Lukaku could be a real star for Chelsea. Just needs a few opportunities to prove it. Pepe is a strange one I must agree.
Was quite worried about the timing of Fergie's retirement, thought United were going to make a play for Mourinho. Turns out they play their last home game this weekend so probably just wanted to give Fergie the sending off he deserves. Phew.
Chelsea, if they get Mourinho and Mancini stays a City, will probably walk away with the league. They've got a great set of players there.
It depends who we bring in to be fair. We'll need at least one holding mid and a forward if Lukaku goes back out on loan definitely and possibly a centre back. Just hopefully we don't splash cash on a guy like Rooney who has been average this season and will have a rather transfer fee and wages. I hope we learnt our lesson with Torres.
