That doesn't include today's 2 goals.
Possibly as he has 17 goals, but he's made 52 appearances already this season compared to 29 for a Chicharito who has 16 goals. Also, his goals have mostly come in easier games.
Chelsea have played a shitload of matches this season. Won't surprise me if they burn out a bit towards the end.
The only thing I agree with here is the difference in games played. Who the goals are scored against is completely irrelevant. Chicharito plays against mostly the same teams. Chicharito not being able to score against the shitter teams as often as Torres doesn't discredit Torres' goals.
Generally i agree with you, but take a example of Berbatov season before last at United when he finished league top scorer. Used to always get goals in games we dominated and won (Including 5 in 1 game which we won with a 6/7 goal margin), but in a tighter game where we needed that one goal to make a difference his scoring record was pretty ordinary. When you needed that goal in the Premiership to make the difference and both were on the bench, despite Berba having a better overall scoring record you wanted Chicharito on. Edit - Wasn't selected for the CL final that season in favor of Cheech and Rooney, while was relegated to 4th choice behind Welbeck, Cheech and Rooney next season when we changed our playing style. Obviously each game and goal counts the same though.
I wonder. If Chelsea win a competition (FA Cup or Europa League) and come 3rd (or even 4th), is that successful from Rafa? I think it'd be a magnificent achievement.
Rafa should concentrate on the cup competitions, its not like he's going to be there next season and fa cup and Europa league > 4th place, on his cv.
