Not many Doggies fans on here. Actually, I can't even think of one. Anyway, here's how they're shaping up.

    1.Ben Barba
    2.Johnathan Wright/Luke MacDougall
    3.Tim Lafai
    4.Josh Morris
    5.Steve Turner
    6.Kris Keating/Josh Reynolds
    7.Trent Hodkinson
    8.Aiden Tolman
    9.Michael Ennis
    10.James Graham
    11.Greg Eastwood
    12.Frank Pritchard
    13.David Stagg

    14.Dene Halatau/Joel Romelo
    15.Sam Kasiano
    16.Martin Taupau/Tim Browne
    17.Corey Payne

Don't like their prop stocks at all. I really rate Graham and Tolman but after that it's pretty slim. Kasiano has shown some promise and they have a few rookies ready to step into the breach but losing Hodgson, Armit, Millington and Micky Paea all in one season is going to hurt their chances IMO. Not to mention their mentor, Ryan.

1-6 is very ordinary. As is their bench.

I'll be very surprised if they make the 8, even with Hasler as coach.

    Howsie and Donald.

Thought Howsie was a Warriors fan. Who the fuck is Donald?

  4. Cribbage RG Cribb

Howsie lives in New Zealand so he knows a lot about the Warriors but he's a Dogs fan. Donald is %DN Boland.

  5. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Okay ta. Just figured the way Howsie goes on about Vatuvei...

    Boland's a Viper. I don't consider them people, so...

The Bulldogs are a massive joke. Bred not bought.

  7. Magic AJ Parker

I still can't decide whether I love their front row or fucking hate the idea of it.

Stagg just needs to make a shit load of tackles and with Pritchard & Eastwood as power runners it might just work although I get the feeling this pack is only going to click on the odd game here and there.

Haha same. They're so fucking similar as players; I think it'll just accentuate the theory of diminishing returns. They can't *both* take three runs a set. Maybe the lighter workload they'll both inevitably have will allow them to have more impact in their work but I doubt it.

I thought it was Canterbury-Bankstown, or is that old hat?

  10. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Yeah, it is Canterbury-Bankstown.

  11. Cribbage RG Cribb

They're still called that officially; the Bankstown usually gets dropped though. Like Manly-Warringah and Cronulla-Sutherland. Even St George-Illawarra, which was a merger, cops it to an extent.

Us Australian rugby league bogans are lazy, y'see?

  12. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Yeah - I more thought they had made a conscious decision fairly recently to try and bring back some of the Bankstown emphasis.

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

Oh they did. Forumers ignored them though. :p

Forumers largely ignored them when they changed their name just to "Bulldogs" as well.

  14. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Bankstown Bulldogs sounds much better and more appropriate.

  15. Wilson SB Wilson

    Josh Reynolds is gun.

  16. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    I like their backrow.

Well put. I didn't know madpup was at the dogs.

    I think they'll struggle next year, 10,11 or 12th I fancy.

  18. Alec AD Funkotron

The biggest problem with the Dogs is the "bred not bought" IMO. And I'm not even joking, it's mostly just a bunch of strangers, there is nothing that binds them together. Other clubs have dudes who were there since the beginning, dudes who played together when they were younger. Dogs don't have relevance.

  19. Cribbage RG Cribb

I don't think anyone has said "bred not bought" for about 18 months other than those trying to wind the Bulldogs fans up. They gave up on it and decided to buy a heap of players instead.

Warburton for skipper perhaps? He is the next Andrew Ryan.
