I can definitely see where you're coming from Ryan, and understand your disappointment but I do think Cronulla seemed like a more consistent (and better) side than they actually were. People were talking them up as premiership contenders, and whilst I think on their day they could certainly beat a Dogs or a Storm, they were only a very dark, dark horse. They didn't beat a top 8 side after Rd 10 for god's sake, as well as losing/drawing with some bottom 4 teams. That's pretty remarkable.
Yeah, very surprised after reading an article outlining his actual situation before the match. And, although I've heard it before, the stuff about Gallen not finishing a session since Origin makes one think Flanagan is a bit of a risk taker. You can't blame him though. I bet you anything both players (and others we don't know about) would've been doing everything they could to play every week, including lying about how bad their condition actually was.
Graham is another that springs to mind. Coming back early from his sternum injury and then missing more matches after re-injuring it in his return match.
Hodges missed an entire season doing his, guessing Carney won't be back till mid/late next year. Playing someone with that kind of injury just seems so stupid, I guess hindsight makes it seem more stupid than it is.

To drop Ross for Taufua and Williams to place bloody Matthew Wright on the wing is just flat out bizzare. Then there was playing Gordon at fullback over Gardner. Sure Gardner hasn't played since Round 6 but it's Gordon for fuck sake and he was prattling on about how Gardner was a chance to play next week if we made it, well whats the difference if there's no other games for him to play other than the final against Canberra? Bizzare.
Yeah there's no way Gordon or Taufua should have been anywhere near that side. Even if Gardner was left out, Wright fullback and Williams wing >>>>>>>> Gordon fullback and Wright wing. Hell I even think injured Carney at fullback with Graham at five-eighth and Ross added to the bench would've been better than the side that actually went out there, and given how terrible an option that would've been, that's saying something.
Carney fullback, Townsend at 5/8 would have been better . In hindsight I wish that happened when Gardner got injured.
