Yeah this is really good, will actually be able to see if a game runs on my laptop before buying it for once.
Yeah it does take a little while to get used to. My first few games I got like 3 kills and 11 assists.
Makes it seem like everyone does* Dota has a delay between an action command and actually performing the action that games such as LoL don't. Can really notice it early game when last hitting etc. So basically there's already like at least 100ms lag built into the system, so having top tier ping in dota isn't really as big a deal.
Sniper after a couple of games, people just don't counterplay him but I don't do shit for objectives.
Nah I don't buy this. It just shifts it from 50 to 150 for low ping and 250 to 350 for high ping. Sure, relatively it makes it seem like the people with high ping can compete more fairly, but overall it just means everyone feels more ping. It definitely doesn't suddenly make everyone feel like they have the same ping. 200 ms difference is noticeable until you get to absolutely unplayable levels of ping, in which case it doesn't matter anyway. AFAIK the real reason input delay was included is so it would be similar to the Warcraft III engine.
I was watching a stream earlier today and a Guy connected to Us from Oceania and as getting 14-17k Ping Safe to say he didn't play for long
Sniper gets shit on by OP. Low hp and no healing. He's good for getting loads of kills when people don't notice you but it's really hit and miss for me. Anyway been playing a fair bit on NA - get a ping of ~70-90 instead of the 14 i get in UK but matchmaking is alot faster. If you guys ever want to play add me I'm Lofty on there and we may be able to do it in NA servers
Anyone run into a team using 2x Tony? It's the worst. So hard to break it, especially when you're solo queuing and your team is up to whatever.
