lol. What a ridiculous response to a discussion about a movie. Where did I say you said it wasn't meant to be cartoonish? I was just offering an argument to your critique that it was a "bizarre, cartoonish interpretation of Oriental combat." How many times are going to regurtitate the tired and lame "Can you even read"? btw you obnoxious little fucktard. You have shit taste in movies, are a horrible reviewer of them and a stunningly overinflated opinion of yourself and a deluded sense of your own intelligence. That's just my opinion....and they're like assholes...everyone has them. And you prove time and time again...even assholes have opinions.
Hahaha. It was blatantly clear what you were implying in that response. That's probably why it took you 20 minutes and three visits to this thread to think of a way to circumvent or placate your mistake. As many times as you misread or misinterpret what I say. Haha. It's exactly the same as the Drive incident. I said the movie was unfocused, didn't have a point and shifted feel too often. And you took that as me saying there was a "genre shift." I can't help it if you derive things which I haven't actually espoused, either explicitly or implicitly.
I wrote my reply then got logged out and asked to log back in again and lost it all, so had to start again...which was even more annoying than you
Yeah it is exactly the same. I thought your review was rubbish and told you so...and then you kept being evasive and changing your original argument. I eventually got tired of your bullshit/tiresome pseudo-intellectualism. You quite obviously just copy and paste other equally crappy movie reviewer's articles, just like you do with Christopher Hitchen's political ones.
I think Kill Bill isn't bad but I always felt that it could have been better. Perhaps it was simply the way the story was portrayed by Tarantino. Will give Inglourious Basterds the nod ahead of it purely for the performance of Christoph Waltz as the German officer, Hans Landa. Awesome character.
You start an argument by calling me a "stupid cunt" who "can't read" and then you always pull this out. Happens every time
See, actually, you started the argument with your usual nonsense. You can't seem to handle other people having a differing view to yours when it comes to movies.
Twas quite peaceful around here whilst you were gone. Have to start ignoring you again. Particularly when you start lying.
Kill Bill wasn't supposed to be "cartoonish" it was supposed to be gratuitous like a lot of Asian cinema. It also had some Anime stylization that could throw credence to "cartoonish" qualities but not really in the Western sense. It was a homage to Asian cinema and was pretty true to certain aspects of it. You'll see a lot of martial arts films that are a lot more over the top than that. But Tarantino has always done movies about movies and if you don't really like the movies he is making a movie about there is just no way of bridging the gap. He is an easy director to hate. Though Fiery is wrong, MF has a pretty good taste in films for the most part. He loves a lot of great films, and like many people dislikes a few ones that others consider great too.
I didn't say my remark about the 'cartoonish' elements as though it was a bad thing, I said numerous times I love Kill Bill.
