    This thread is about the best team, Liverpool didnt win the league in 2001?

    But Barcas team then was awesome including Eto'o, Henry, Deco, Xavi, Messi, Ronaldinho, Puyol, Zambrotta, Thuram, Iniesta etc.

    They were only invinvible because there was no challenege from any of the other teams in England at the time.

    Chelsea were no where near the force they are today, and United who had been their biggest rivals for a very long time were in a bad way and were rebuilding.

    This current United side has won a treble, got in another final and a semi final all in a season which has been the most competitive across the board, as shown by Liverpool being the first team to get 80 points and not win the league. Not only is this team full of amazing players, but you cannot pick it because there are so many fo them.

    It was pretty easy to name the best 16 on the day in all those other teams.

    Has to be the current United team IMO.

    Arsenal Invincibles just gets it for me ahead of Man Utd 1999.

    Going through a whole season without losing is a great achievment but winning the treble was again a great achievment.

    Very close if you ask me. Man Utd treble team was amazing and i'm very surprise to see only 1 person has voted for them and 3 have voted for Liverpool 2001. Team that included great players and so many match winners it deserves more than 1 vote.

    Any chance i can change my vote

    yeah but winning the champions league was harder in the 90's than now, if u ask me. When Utd won the champions league, the Italian and Spanish clubs were spending more money and getting better players than the English clubs. Bayern Munich was more of a force and even teams like Ajax was very hard to play against in the 90's

    Fergie himself has said that the current team is better than the team of 99.

    I've heard it from so many experts of the game.

    IMO the current United squad is the best ever in England. they've won a treble this season while competing in 5 competitions. Even thought its not been as prestiguoes a treble this tiem round its just as good an accomplishment when you look at how far we got in the other competitions.
