Just had a look at Eddie's season as I haven't really followed the Parrots, and he hasn't been all that good. Apart from a ridiculous game in round 3 or 4 (admittedly not insignificant) he hasn't done that much, particularly in the second half of the season where he appears to have been much worse than myself and Ikram. Although someone who knows basketball better will likely come in and completely disprove that.
Eddie's a better shooter, but I was a little surprised to see him in over you. Definitely justifiable though, not a bad selection at all.
It's only the timing of his selection that seems weird. When I headhunted Eddie for the new side I wanted him as an all-star player, it's just that his being selected when he was dropped literally this week is a bit jarring.
Yeah, particularly as I've performed so well over the recent weeks, starting ahead of Ikram. It's a bit of an odd selection IMO, but it's understandable in that he's obviously just going for permanent class over temporary form.
Would be a gun idea. Don't qualify for reserves, not good enough for all star, an academy side is something I could realistically aim for.
Obviously it would not have actually of been disastrous to have given Ryan minutes, he has been a very solid performer across the board in the last few seasons. Re: Eds it is definitely a situation where by Zo-Bro was the incumbent in the side and Eddie started the season strong and has seasons behind him. It is hard to tell with "younger" players whether they have the consistency to really stand up week to week, especially when they are playing against the top players in the competition. Also essentially coming in to the game we really seemed to have a lot riding on Downes getting going points wise, so I really wanted a few more points in the team and Eddie definitely had the potential for points in him. Also I very nearly started Callum, and I think maybe I should of. I am certainly not having the same season this season as last. Although I had a very strong home stretch last season, and am hoping for the same here.
Yeah but he seemed like he had a stronger start to the season. Essentially though I put him on the floor with Tart because I felt like Tart had enough handle to make up for where Callum was behind me. I definitely expected more points from Callum than from me, didn't expect quite that game though. The process was mostly, who do I want to play the most minutes with Downes. Essentially play me and Morgan with Downes and focus on that inside presence, and then play James and Laing for the back court scoring presence.
I was on a bit of hot streak just before the All Star game but flopped when it came to the big one. We shouldn't have lost from the position we were in but I was being relied on to get the points and failed hard.
We really just don't have the out and out points of the South squad, It's not your fault that we are going to look for you a lot more.
We had infinite scoring options. The only person in the team who wasn't a legit scorer was Teddy Tiger
SG: Morgan Reckon we'll have a good shot at it this year. Gayler/Downes/Ames/Morgan/Cambridge with Lee/Evans/Deen/Narang as bench options or something. Probs reckon Gayler should play over Narang without looking deeper into it given the improvement of him this year.

Probably depends on the rest of the team tbh. Gayler seems to be the best rim protector going 'round while Narang offers a little more offensively. Chewie's been good too, right?
