**** I meant Ulsan Hyundai... Kawasaki is in CCM's group ffs.

Must've got 'em mixed up >_>

If Newcastle finish second, chances are they'll play Kawasaki IIRC. So that might be where you went wrong.

And the Mariners bomb out without a win. Note to all of Australia: Physical, long ball soccer does not work.

What do you reckon about the Jets match tonight, Speirz?

  5. Speirz DG Speirs

    We'll be competitive but lose.

  6. Hybrid A Kolar

    Interesting. 7:30, right?

Why do australian teams insist on playing NSL style soccer, we have the talent in these teams to at the very least do much better in the ACL, but sides like mariners insist on playing old school australian soccer instead of football, so frustrating

Agreed. This rough, long ball rubbish is shit. We need some South American, English or Asian coaches out here, to teach skill and short passing, not long ****ing balls.

    Enter Ernie Merrick.

Hence the success of Melbourne. Why McKinna coaches long balls I'll never know.

    8:30.

Because we don't have the talent in the coaching ranks to play any other style.

You'll have to excuse him. He thought Arsene Wenger was English for a moment there.

Jets played well I thought. They effectively closed Ulsan down and had some decent half-chances on the counter.

But it helps when the opposition don't know how to place a ****ing header. Some of Newcastle's shots were pretty dire as well. I see this nice pass and there's a glimmer of hope that I'm not actually watching U/6's strikers, but then they **** it up. >_>

Congratulations to Newcastle though. Good to have another A-League team make it through.

Also, massive ****ing LOL @ Andy Harper.

I can't take the bloke seriously. I pretty much laugh at everything that comes out of his mouth. Over-zealous and retarded criticisms of Ulsan and unnecessary praises to Newcastle. The mass sucking of Kennedy's and Petrovski's cocks as well (although I'll admit the former did have quite a decent game I thought).

Newcastle Jets dumped out of the Asian Champions League with a 6-0 loss to Pohang Steelers.

  16. Marto RK Fittaman

They could win 7-0 at home and go through ;) :p

  17. Zakaron SDR Laing

I don't think so they got hammered goooooooooooone!!!

  18. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

    Quite embarrasing really

  19. chris473 CJ Devonshire

It's only a 1 legged game so Newcastle are goooooooooooooooooone quite embarrasingly.

  20. Hybrid A Kolar

Yeah, it's just one leg. :p
