    I kind of get the massive clamp down on anything remotely high, I feel whetehr they've had some legal guidance or just realised themselves that they want to show that they've taken massive steps to reduce the dangers of concussion etc now that it seems to be such a big deal.

    But most of this hip drop stuff is ridiculous.

    The problem is that besides the actual HIA protocol, they're doing nothing at all to protect concussion of defenders, which happens more than concussion of ball carriers.

    Been saying it for years. If you, as a ball carrier, turn in the line and face your own goal line you are responsible as much as the defender, for any "crusher/neck pressure" situation that results.

    David Fifita confirmed he’s not taking up the 2 year option at the Titans today, media reporting it’s imminent that he will sign with the Panthers.

    I really don’t understand the criticism of him or the thought that he doesn’t fit the Penrith system. Sure he’s going to have to work on some things defensivley but ironically I think there’s been some really lazy analysis trying to label him as a lazy player.

    For 850k, factoring in the lack of top tier talent on the open market, I think it’s a really good deal for the Panthers. The guy is a genetic freak.

    Bit surprised the Chooks wanted him that bad given their stocks. But its a great signing. He'll thrive at a top 4 club. Was worried a couple years ago he was another Dave Taylor but he's been very strong the last 18 months.

    I don’t know what was worse tonight, the bunker or Queenslander’s obsessions with sweet Caroline.

    Will not be able to sit through a whole round of games at Suncorp next week if that jarring song is going to be played after every try, makes it hard enough to watch Broncos games let alone now its made its way into the Dolphins games there.
