You can’t give a penalty try based on how fast players are it was the right call.

I’m pretty stoked for Edrick. He’s twice the player Sami and Coates are and he showed that tonight. Much maligned but he was the best three quarter on the field and should probably retain a spot for next season if he’s not injured imo.

NSW though. Where do we start. The selections were rank from the get go and they deserved to lose with the coach thinking he could leave his best players out based on attitude and picking players in vogue. Klemmer and Cotric should have been walk up starts and picking a 3rd second rower in a squad of 27 would have helped.

full credit to Qld though. The gulf between the halves was enormous. Good on them tbh. Taking the passion out of it Sua, Tino, Grant and co should be proud and have a big origin career ahead of them.

I honestly think the only times I saw Walker tonight was making one tackle, and then when he was unconscious

I don't think it should been been a penalty try.
But Felise should defo have been binned for his shit afterwards

Definitely feels like 95. I remember thinking we'd be pumped cause no Broncos could play haha

Now you lose if you have one...

So did Tedesco. So did Cleary. Wighton's time at 6 was not better than what Walker did in Game 2. Its a fucking joke to use that as evidence that he's the answer at 6.

Nah Munster wasn't going to score there though.

I agree they couldn't give a penalty try given the way the rules are currently written but he would've scored.

Think they need to rewrite the rules on it, foul play should never benefit the side committing the foul play. Some benefit or advantage should be given to the attacking side as a bigger deterrence.

100% right call in the end though.

Well done tho NSW. Gold standard of underachievers.

When they brought in the 6 again rule they specifically said deliberate slowing of the play the ball would be deemed as foul play for that exact reason. It didn't get applied all season though, something that needs to be fixed next year.

    He's talking about the contact.

Holmes and Allen were fucking atrocious for a fair bit of that match.

    Grant was excellent on debut.

    Master coach does it again...

Oh yeah I was only talking about this game, not Julian's claim of it being the best 6 minutes of the series (which I'm pretty confident was hyperbole)

The only selection Benny would have regretted would be Brenko tbh. Made so many bad defensive decisions. Just looked lost.

Sami was crap too. He should not have been picked. Lee was much better.

Yeah that three kick double up passage from Munster was the individual play of the series imo. He's a really, really good player.

I dont think Fittler's a bad coach but i wouldnt trust him to pick an ice cream flavour at Baskin Robbins much less an Origin squad. As long as he's coach David Klemmer and Latrell Mitchell, easily two of the best in the world at their respective positions will not feature. And thats just absurd.

Sami was lucky he got away with the first game, was absolute pus in the 2nd.

Bracey is such a good host tbh.

Usually when an RL outsider comes into the team they try so hard and come off like fuckwits.

We're gonna be competitive next year and years to come because of that spine. Ponga, Munster, DCE and Grant is about as good as you can do post-dynasty.
