Yeah Tamou shouldn't even be in consideration.

Yeah I see a player like Vaughan a bit different to those guys. Puts out similar stats per carry but does so a bit differently, sort of more athletically. Sounds odd, but it's hard to put a finger on it. I'd also be watching Tariq's comeback closely as he's someone who might be able to fill that role.

Vaughan kinda runs a bit different for sure. Not as labored looking.

  3. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh he's slightly more mobile, runs smart angles around the ruck & has good footwork but not that distinctly different from Merrin & Woods who both have good late footwork and are more mobile than you average front rower. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed if we selected him because in reality there's no perfect 4th bench option available for NSW atm.

agree with Taylor. I still have faith in Tariq as an origin player I rate Vaughan too but just think Sims has the potential to be an ace for us if he gets a consistent run at lock for the Knights

  5. Magic AJ Parker

I haven't seen it in Tariq since he returned from his horrific injury tbh.

  6. Julian BJ Taylor

    Agreed.

But he's the sort of player we need so if he does come good it's for the best.

Shame Mullen has reminded us he still has it in him to forget that he is involved in a footy game. Deplorable performance on Saturday night.

Yeah this year has seen me evolve from "Vaughan's pretty good but fmd Taylor goes overboard" to "I think Vaughan would really add something to the NSW bench".

I don't really think he's any chance of being picked while he's on the bench for a bottom team though. It's dire but true. If you want to get picked for NSW from the Canberra side then you need to at least be starting. I understand why Canberra don't start him but it doesn't help his Origin chances.

    And no G.

The final prop spot just needs to go to whoever would got the most ballistic in a 20-25 minute burst. Need to get a Burgess to change allegiance or get Sims on the peptides.

  11. Julian BJ Taylor

That's odd. I reckon he's been inconsistent this year. He ran 180 metres against Manly and I don't think he really had a great game at all.

I'd definitely be starting him and playing him 60 minutes rather than 45 or so.

    Lure Ashton back from England.

There's also Mason who is playing well in a pack that otherwise gets belted.

  13. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

I think I'd go Mannah ahead of Mason, but something along those lines.

  14. Magic AJ Parker

Yeh this is why I don't think Klemmer would be a bad choice. I still think he's got a year or two to go before he reaches his peak physical dominance given he's still got a bit of filling out to do but there's really not a whole lot else.

  15. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Yeh, Klemmer's a good shout. He'd do a job off the bench and it would give him a taste of what level he needs to aspire to.

He did a pretty damn good in the 4N considering he was our only prop.

  16. jazman84 JM Eightyfour

Mason can do work on the edge too if needed though.

  17. Benny BS Read

Not anymore IMO he's a middle third only guy now it isn't 2009

  18. Cribbage RG Cribb

Daley is a a Ryan James fan. I think I'd sooner go Klemmer if that was the sort of prop I wanted, but I wouldn't be surprised if James randomly ended up in the side. It'd be a good excuse for the media to talk about how many 'back rowers' we have on the bench due to him playing a handful of games for the Tits in the second row and Merrin being a 'lock', too.

  19. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

It will definitely be a cult forward that gets the gig, James in the lead with his long hair, Klemmer growing a big beard or Huge Mohawk plus Aus rep would get him there I fancy.

Yeah, Mason needs his afro back to be any shot.
