I've never even been close to hating the Sharkies as a club. Because I've had so much family there involved in the club and its juniors it has always sort of been my second team, I've at least had a soft spot for them.

I just don't like their current team though, i'll be brutally honest about that. Bird will be a gun centre though and next year could be very good. Lewis is a gun and Holmes has been clutch but I still don't know how on earth you're 4th. I can't see it being anything but a backdoor exit in the finals though. After Melbourne win tonight I'm pretty certain you'll finish 5th though, which would definitely be to your advantage playing Illawarra.

    Panthers

The terrible backline cost NZ dearly.

Star player Hurrell spent half the year in reserve grade.

Other star player Tomkins has been possibly the worst signing in rugby league this century. He ran 14 metres or something at fullback 2 weeks ago.

lol. He has been quite good in patches and there have been a lot worse overseas signings for the Warriors. Think Dane Nielsen, Brett Seymour, Andy Platt or Dennis Betts.

Injuries to all the star players in that backline and the ridiculous suspensions of players like Matulino killed us. And when the best player in the world broke his leg, our season was over.

Can't recall JT breaking his leg mate.

  6. Magic AJ Parker

    Cam Smith broke his leg?

Imagine how shit the Cowboys and Storm would be without those 2

  8. Old Mate M Perry

Not as shit as the Warriors with Johnson.

You have to put it into context. Signing a decent first grade centre on mid level coin and him not really turning up just doesn't compare to bringing out a star signing from England on huge money and him just shitting the bed for 24 months.

Cowboys at least win some games without JT. Can't say the same for Warriors without Johnson. lol

Yeah look I'm not even going to bother trying to defend the Warriors any more tbh. They have been a shambles for the last few months. McFadden needs to go.

  12. Pretzel P Retzel

*been a shambles the last few years.

  13. Fiery GR Smith

    Touché.

Think we might need a new captain too tbh.

  14. Wilson SB Wilson

Nothing to with McFadden in my opinion. Your players are just weak as piss. The coach can only do so much.

  15. Fiery GR Smith

I think he has lost their respect. Out drinking before games etc.

Need a firmer hand and a more proven coach. Preferably an ex-player...and a kiwi.

  16. Wilson SB Wilson

That's on the players. He had their respect when Johnson was fit and they were winning. It's just a piss weak excuse to clock off.

    I don't entirely disagree.

But you can't keep losing and getting smashed by 50 points without some heads rolling.

Hopefully RTS and Luke might make a difference next year, but I think we need a more charismatic captain. Mannering is a good player but too quiet and unassuming.

And not a fan of McFadden any more. Bring back Bluey McClenaghan or Ivan Cleary.

That's the problem with this sport, it always falls on the coach. Fuck that, the players are to blame.

  19. Fiery GR Smith

Never as black and white as that. A good coach can make the players perform. Of course the coach has to take most of the blame. He's running the ship. And if you steer it into an iceberg then some players are going to jump off.

  20. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

The Warriors have a decent coach, their biggest problem is all the Kiwis in the side. The best Kiwi players all play for Australian clubs.
