    Haha yeah when I heard Slater was out I thought it might actually end up a bad thing for NSW, but if they pass on the opportunity to start Ponga it really is a massive blessing for us. Especially if Ponga ends up on the bench and ends up in the forwards somewhere -- it'd be hard for me to possibly rate the kid higher as a fullback but I wouldn't pick him anywhere else.

    Nah that won't happen. It'll either be Ponga to start, which is the logical choice. Or it'll be Morgan at 1 and then Ponga at 1 with Morgan moving into the forwards.....which is fucking stupid. You can just imagine the logic Walters is using though given Morgan probably trained there a fair bit in camp whilst Slater was nursing his injury.

    I mean is Walters seriously telling us that if Slater was ruled out before the selection date, he would've had Morgan as next in line?

    Just pick Ponga you fucking pleb.

    I won't even be surprised if they put Morgan at 1 and put fucking Milford on the bench which would be absolutely ridiculous. This happens every year though. QLD always fucks up their Game 1 team selections.
