    People have no idea how the extremely close call of Klemmer missing out for Ryan James will alter this series imo. Fittler almost made an enormous mistake apparently and it could well be the difference in who wins game 1 and or the series.

    I’d be so much more confident if they’d picked James and not Klemmer.

    Yeah I had a couple of gripes with the side but ultimately didn't think it was any worse than the team Daley would've picked. James in for Klemmer would've been full retard though -- not just because Klemmer was clearly a must pick, but because James shouldn't have even been in the next four props picked from outside the side. I would've raged.

    I think Freddy's done a pretty good job with the side tbh.

    Personally I'd question the selections of Roberts, Cleary & Crichton but at least in Roberts & Cleary's case it's not like there were clear cut alternative options.

    I've got no issues with the fact that he's using Jake T in the front row rotation, I just would've liked to see him pick another natural middle on the bench over Crichton who I imagine he's intending to bring on at lock and use some of his creativity when QLD are slowing down.

    There's a shit load of mobility in that bench though, I think it's pretty clear what type of game Freddy is going to play.

    Maybe. Don’t underestimate Slater’s importance though. I did that last year.

    But yeah Ponga is a freak and the best fullback in the game imo. Just not the ideal circumstances under which to make your debut.

    Walters is a goose if he doesn’t just swap Slater for Ponga. It’s the best option and you don’t go reshuffling the fucking team 2 days out.

    I thought we were losing Thurston. Cronk I was pretty confident on but then he went as well. Did not see Smith's retirement coming at all. And now Slater out injured. To lose that spine all at pretty much the same time is just so fucked.
