He went alright at Manly, that's about it.

Yeah Burns has been a massive disappointment. Many good judges thought he was going to be a special player and he's not even first grade standard. It's hardly due to lack of opportunity or circumstance either; he's just crap.

I'm convinced he should be playing centre. He's not a creator's arsehole and when he didn't have the attacking responsibility of a ball player and was asked to defend at right centre, he was quite good.

His best asset is his ball running and grassing defence. I'd give him a run at centre.

One day when Burns wins Dally M, I'll quoting all these posts and laughing at them.

I'm with you on that. Burns has had his problems in the past, but I honestly think that he has been one of the few consistent players at the Panthers for the past two seasons.

Manly need to get over it IMO. He has been doing it for years against all the other teams. What he said was hardly that bad either.

Nah, that sort of shit is not on.

Isn't being really biased towards the home time part of the job description for a ground announcer ... ??

He has been doing it for years. If it was so bad, a complaint would have been brought up years ago and it would have stopped. He says all sorts of sneaky things at the ground that you don't pick up on TV.

Oh well, then, that makes it okay...

I agree with Cribb. I don't see what the problem is with his 'filthy bias.' He's the Penrith Panthers ground annoucer. Of course he's going to be biased. The Hoppa comment might have been a bit harsh also but I doubt he would have meant anything to bad by it. Just trying to have a little dig at the opponent.

I don't have a problem with him being biased. That is to be expected. However, personal attacks on specific players and their family members is poor form.

Love hearing the Panther growl come across the speakers at Penrith Stadium.

Also lolBurns, fuck me that cunt's pathetic.

And weston, 32 minutes 15 hit ups 134 metres. Freak.

Eh, I don't think it was really that bad. I think Hoppa would have gotten much worse.

  16. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

He probably has got worse from players etc. But you shouldn't expect that sort of thing from someone broadcasting to 10,000+ spectators, it was pretty unprofessional.

Has Plum just come back from injury or something? I've missed our last 3 games but he looked well off the pace yesterday. Uncharacteristically missed a couple of important tackles.

We really missed Lewis out there I thought, we look a lot more dangerous in attack with him out there.

Particularly when children are around. Believe me, we have enough problems with smart arse kids without encouraging sledging.

Lol at Burns conversion attempt. Fuck that was terrible.

Yeah it's not on, it's one thing to hear it from 3 blokes sitting on the hill half pissed, it's another for it to be announced like that across the stadium.
