If Newcastle finish second, chances are they'll play Kawasaki IIRC. So that might be where you went wrong.
And the Mariners bomb out without a win. Note to all of Australia: Physical, long ball soccer does not work.
Why do australian teams insist on playing NSL style soccer, we have the talent in these teams to at the very least do much better in the ACL, but sides like mariners insist on playing old school australian soccer instead of football, so frustrating
Agreed. This rough, long ball rubbish is shit. We need some South American, English or Asian coaches out here, to teach skill and short passing, not long ****ing balls.
Jets played well I thought. They effectively closed Ulsan down and had some decent half-chances on the counter. But it helps when the opposition don't know how to place a ****ing header. Some of Newcastle's shots were pretty dire as well. I see this nice pass and there's a glimmer of hope that I'm not actually watching U/6's strikers, but then they **** it up. >_> Congratulations to Newcastle though. Good to have another A-League team make it through.
Also, massive ****ing LOL @ Andy Harper. I can't take the bloke seriously. I pretty much laugh at everything that comes out of his mouth. Over-zealous and retarded criticisms of Ulsan and unnecessary praises to Newcastle. The mass sucking of Kennedy's and Petrovski's cocks as well (although I'll admit the former did have quite a decent game I thought).
