Here is where I'm going to post the specifics about how this will be run. It's just so you don't have to look through hundreds of posts to find certain details. -14 teams -25 players in each team -2 round robin with semifinals and final -Each team has a chairman, an assistant manager, 2 coaches and a physio (basically 15 for all relevant attributes) -No media comments -Subs: 3 from 7 -All players are internationally retired -League games are 5 days apart unless cup games disallow this More to come...
Things to decide: Pitch size: the size of the pitch will affect tactics. For example, it'd be easier to play out wide if your pitch is wider. Should this be fixed at a default or should managers be allowed to choose? Cups: I'm thinking a single preseason cup. Substitutions: How many? 3 from 5? Media: How should these be responded to? I'm thinking the easiest way is just to ignore this side of the game and respond with "no comment" every time. This is because sometimes the responses available vary and I'd rather not hold everyone up waiting for someone to give a media response.
Preseason knock out cup? Subs should be 3 from 7. I reckon we should have media responses. Give someone a MM position.
have a cup during the season (that way if fatigue is a problem people reserves might get a run) Managers should be able to choose there pitch (also is where your club based weather affected e.g. NZ cold and sometimes wet? cause if weather is an issue that will impact the size of some pitches.)
Regarding pitches: Didn't think of pitch type/location. I'm not sure if the pitch type will affect the match engine, but weather definitely does. Stadium city needs to be chosen too then.
That's what I was thinking of doing. It'd take waaaaaaaay too much time for such a small and repetitive part of the game to be implemented.
Sounds good. Dont bother with media. Pointless anyway, and you would have to send theMM the qs individually, as they wouldnt know what was coming up. 7 subs, max 3 usable IMO.
Forgot about this one. Team talks. The options vary from time to time. Should I just use "Ask the assistant" every time? In the case of a live simming, should I give both managers a chance to use the option they want? I won't be doing individual player team talks, either way. Cup still to be decided. Preseason to warm players up + a cup in between somewhere to test the depth of the squads?
