I'm hoping for the spoon. They need to hit Rock bottom.

Looking at the race for the spoon, it'd be a real shame for the Titans to get it. I don't think they will as there are some promising signs up there, but they're still a chance.

Personally would love to see the Broncos drop a few more 40 zip thrashings and spoon hard.

I think NQ deserves to spoon it as well tbh.

Yeah three teams deserve the spoon.

They should make more spoons for this year. Whoever finishes below the Titans gets one, regardless.

I feel like I should be offended by this.

"Worst team that doesn't deserve the spoon" is actually more than I think of your team most years tbh.

    Wouldn't that be Penrith? :p

(assuming you mean worst team that doesn't deserve the spoon, but could also mean best team that does deserve the spoon)

Best post I could've made after 8 beers tbh.

    But you're right; edited.

I fear for the new sim code I implemented today. "<" where there should have been ">" for days.

Magic - you didn't answer my question from last week. There were rumours they are reducing from 30 to a lower squad limit next year. Have you heard similar and have more info?

Here is the story, some fucking N00b to league Kiwi had to break this news on this message board as you Aussie kents havn't been discussing it

Rosters likely to go down to likely 26 or 28 instead of 30 spots

Outstanding article below that is a must read for league fans on why this is big news

It's still 30 as far as I know. Pretty sure Magic just goofed in his post and made a 4 year old reference.

Oh I just read your follow up post. Seems to be an #ActualThing.

A couple of players in the world can pull off a simple catch and pass? Who would have thunk it

You have to go back some way to find Parramatta's last good performance.

Almost hitting the point where you would say they are pretenders. Just completely outclassed tonight

Yeah 100%. I actually think a lot of it comes down to their right side with Blake and Fergo. Every time they go that way to attack, it gets fucked (usually by Blake). As a result, Jennings and Sivo get double covered and can't do a thing. Thus, they just throw the ball around and drop the ball, building up pressure. And then in defence they are just god awful, and as soon as one try is leaked they often leak two or three. Not really sure who they have in the wings but I honestly think dropping Blake would go a decent way to improving the side across the board.

I was so happy to see he'd left penrith. A few panthers mates deadset thought he was the second coming of GI. Love that they kept a guyime Whare and sent Blake on his way.

I actually reckon Brad Arthur is a pretty average coach and Parra have too many wankers to be a serious contender. The Blake stuff is true though, he's shithouse.

With that said I still rate them enough to have a shot. Just depends how everyone is looking going into the finals. If Hodgson hadn't have gotten injured reckon the Raiders would've been the team to beat based on how everyone is travelling right now. Penrith too obviously but can see the lack of experience hurting them come a big game.

Yeah I'm not sure whether it is just dumb cunt players or Arthur who are to blame for their continual capitulations each season, but it definitely makes you think that he is lacking when it comes to their mental preparation.

Let's face it. It's gonna be another Roosters/Storm final, and we're gonna have to deal with it.

I wonder if Brad Arthur isn’t guilty of being too much of a friend to the players. Often when players speak about him whether it was his time at Manly or Parra it’s always about how well liked he is and what a great bloke he is. They seem like a very close group of players from the outside looking in but some of the attitude and freedom they play with at times almost makes you feel like they float in and out of the mindset of being professionals and having a game with the boys.
