    I think they'll still battle in the pigs, I love Lewis Brown but he's not the answer for a pack that lacked go forward and already has Symonds and Buhrer. An injury to Taupau or Myles and they're up against it again. Interested to see what a new coach does for the club.

    I don't really see Myles as a pack leader, especially at NRL level. I think Tapau needs a huge year for them.

    Strengths: The spine has become a strength. Hodgson pushes to become a premier hooker and the addition of Sezer is a good one. Their best 6/7 running forwards are top notch and the backline 1-7 can be deadly in attack.


    Weaknesses: Lack of depth in the forwards, but imminent arrival of Tapine should arrest that a touch. FPN was off the pace last year and losing 8 or so games by less than 4 last year hurt. Outside in defensive system needs to be fixed.


    Key Players/Coaching Moves: Getting the pack right and not giving favourites a free run. Boyd and Vaughan's fitness is key, as is Wighton's.


    Verdict: The addition of Sezer should see the close losses from last year converted into 2 points. Also a very, very easy draw, missing the 8 would be a monumental failure: 6th.

    With JWH, Cordner and Pearce all likely returning half way through the season just making the top 8 has to be the goal. Anything can happen from there with fresh legs in key players.

    Shit, didn't know Cordner was out.

    Nikorima looked decent in the halves v St Helens, remains to be seen how he fairs in NRL however.

    Roosters are a very well drilled side and had to battle injuries late last season and still finished the season minor premiers and only 1 win away from the GF. They'll comfortably make the 8 IMO.
