Yeah we'll be fine. Gives Yates a chance to show what he's made of for a bit longer, with the Seahawks only players being forwards he should run rings around the perimeter. GIMH in for Eddie means you'll spend all your time on Storer, who is their only real offensive threat. Can't see us dropping this.
Smacked the Seahawks as expected. Congrats to Downes who nabs the rebounds and defensive rebounds records, in only his second game in the red and green.
Expecting a sellout crowd away to the Mustangs, with two of the finest players in Downes and Welker facing off head-to-head. Morris and Dong return to strengthen our depth and we should easily have something on the 'stangs at the defensive end. A key point of advantage should be myself matching up against Read, and while our back court spacing has been called a weakness Yates looks like a player on the rise, and will fancy his chances against Astele.
Yeah, Yates is already about the quality of an average starting point IMO and with Hurricane and Cock to cycle through SG depending on who's hot that night our backcourt is fine. Welker and Mustangs not even close to us defensively so we should be able to outgun them.
Be an unchanged side this week after a high-class win over the Mustangs. Away to the Pandas next - a chance for Chewie to silence his old home crowd, and a potential grudge match in Downes v Schaw.
Will see how I go this game, if I start strongly again but fizzle late I am ok with getting some bench time. Cheers
If you start strongly then Cock can have a good platform from off the bench and take on some extra time if he needs to. A strong start is exactly what we want from you.
A chance to beef everyone's figures not missed against the Polar Bears. Cock gets his season back on track and Downes takes the club record for treys made and attempted with 5-9.
