And just FTR Milford rejected the offer from the NZRL to play for the Junior Kiwis a month ago. He's a QLDer. Was born in Brisbane, played most of his footy here, and has played for the QLD u16's-18's.

"I was raised and have lived my whole life in Queensland," Milford said when asked why he chose Queensland over New Zealand.

"I've only been to New Zealand a few times."

 

FMD. They're gonna play Hayne at 5/8th and Folau at fullback. Why not play Mannah at hooker and Smith at halfback while they're at it?

And you can mark my words (mark them, cunts), that by Rd 6 Folau will be hailed as a success at fullback, there'll be even more comments in the papers and on TV about how amazing the modern game's fullback depth is, and so on. Just one long wank fest over a player who should be playing no further in-field than centre (in attack) because apparently paying 600k a season for a winger is unthinkable, hence an arse-about face reshuffle. All of it depending on the success of Hayne at 6, which will be very interesting to watch, and the ability of Folau to make good runs in open space. We know the latter is all but certain. And thus the barometer for how well the strategy goes will be entirely responsive to how well Hayne goes.

This sort of RL analysis is what I can't stand about the game.

 

We're considering giving it a try. Not pulling our scouts out of Bowravville and Minto and Auckland just yet though.
