Them other teams obviously weren't good enough when it mattered though so really Warriors and Manly deserved their spots.
Do you disagree with the finals series and I don't mean the structure of it I mean as a part of the NRL season?
Sorry, take back the magnanimous stats I posted before for Tony Williams (45m and 14 tackles). He actually made 40m and 12 tackles with 5 ineffective and 1 miss. He did this with 47 minutes playing time. Buhrer got 9 minutes.
yeah i mean how often is the grand final between the two best teams throughout the season. i dont actually know how often it is 1 vs 2 but it cant be too often under any finals system i reckon
I expected a much better effort from Williams. Was heavily marked but made it easy for the opposition by standing flat footed everytime he got the ball.
They bring in 4 players to tackle him each time, and they still struggle to bring him down. I can sort of see why people rave about him, more defenders tackling him loosens the defensive lines the saps their strength. I don't think that's anywhere near enough yet though.
fuck the end to the first half was awesome. A mate was on Stewart first try + 13+. Robertson slotted it haha.
If Manly had beaten the Broncos with Lockyer then I would say they deserved it, but unfortunately they faced no real competition. For all I know they could've risen to the challenge, but I didn't see them do it all season in a real high quality match so I'll never really know.
Fucking biggest rort. Had a 5er on DCE/Bartel CCM/NSM double, was playing 50 odd. Fucking shit cunts giving it to that gay prick Stewart.
If Stewart didn't win it Hopoate would have, so you still would have done your cash. But yeah it sucks to almost win, especially at those odds.
At the end I thought Stewart was the best considering the weeks he missed and then playing the entire 80 mins. Hopoate's work rate was huge, plus the try he set up. DCE & Lyon both played extremely well but I didn't think they outshone the other two. Massively underrated on this forum IMO. Fortunately none of you guys are selectors.
How good was Ben Matulino yesterday. He's had an immense season for the Warriors this year but that was easily his best game. His improvment over the last 18 months is insane, barely looked FG standard early on in his career. One of the best front rowers going around in the NRL now, at 22 no less.
