Yeah. It's one performance. But, they've shown in that one performance that the one question mark (how all the new blokes would gel into the team) is not a big issue.
Yeah, he had a couple of decent carries in his second stint but he coupled that with two pretty basic errors. Glad to hear he started well though.
On a couple of kick returns. I was disappointed that he wasn't involved in a lot more then he actually was tbh, I barely even noticed him all night.
Barba just seems too small for strong kick returns imo. As a half/hooker, being small isn't as bad as you can beat the defence and find gaps, but facing a kick chase, you need more power imo. Idk, just the impression I got tonight, was stopped too easily by the chasers.
He'll be looking to emulate Bowen/Campbell/Hodgson I guess. Three quality fullbacks; only Brian Smith would axe them for being too small.
Haha, loved Hodgson at the Eels, was my favourite player. Fucking Smith. Anyway yeah, in broken field play/2nd phase he will be dangerous, but I just don't expect much from him on the majority of kick returns.
I was over at MS the other day when I was waiting for the Newcastle team to be announced and I saw Roofy or Roopy or whatever his name is make a post. I actually really agreed with the post and looked up to see who made it.. then felt stupid for agreeing with it. It was about Dureau I think.
He occasionally makes a decent post, but more often than not his posting leads me to believe he's spent too much time in the sun watching the lower grades.
Loved that game, showed that if you you just play patience you'll get there in the end. Classic footy from the dogs which should 9/10 times grind a win out against a side like the Tigers, Lui shit himself too often and Marshall throwing that no look pass over the sideline was lollapalooza
