Weeman selects Aaron Smith (he personal messaged me his selection since he knew I would be online at this time).
You can team up with me if you like. I'll pick Richie McCaw, I think. Scores a reasonable amount of tries for a flanker. Not sure how many of the "easy" games he'll get to freeload in though.
That's the sort of thing international sides do anyway so it's fine. The rule is don't take the piss. In the 6N draft Weeman ran with 9 Rhys Webb 10 Greig Laidlaw 12 Owen Farrell 13 Wesley Fofana aka two 9s, a 10 playing 12 and a 12 playing 13. That was borderline pisstake but still allowed. So stay on the right side of that and you're okay.
To be fair, while I definitely accept I was trying to game the system, I don't think that's too unreasonable a lineup in hindsight. Both Laidlaw and Farrell have played at the positions I selected them in, and I'm sure Fofana could play 13.
I'm gonna have to admit to struggling a bit in comparing Southern Hemisphere players that I've seen a lot of with their Northern Hemisphere counterparts that I've seen very little of since the last world cup. It would help if Sky at least showed 6 Nations replays.
Agreed. I went out of my way to watch Wales vs England in the 6 Nations and found a replay 48 hours after the game. Worth getting the rugby channel for that alone.
But who's to say whether Sky will continue to retain the rights? There's no way I'm paying that significant premium for the Rugby Channel just to end up with the Currie Cup.
Subscribe just before the 6 nations and cancel if they lose the rights. The only flaw in my advice is that it takes half an hour to get through on the phones to place any type of order.
I assume this continues till the final? So we're better off picking players from teams that'll make it past the group stages.
