    Wing and anyone > Wing and Keating.

    Kris Keating is so ridiculously over rated it isn't funny. He is the next Ben Kusto/Ben Black/Jamie Russo IMO.

    Obviously Hayne and Mateo will stay but Inu is already on the outer (unfortunately) while Cayless and Hindmarsh don't have many more years left in them.

    I doubt you can call someone like Inu (one good season) and Cayless (overpaid and old) 'big name players' TBH.

    No idea. I'm just saying that there's no need to spend a massive chunk of the salary cap for a player we essentially don't actually need.

    Neither do I.

    Yeah I've been starting to notice that everyone is saying "OMG HOW GOOD IS KRIS KEATING LOL" but it's just his little half-breaks and tackle busts that catch people's eyes.

    He's a decent young player and he'll become a decent player in the future. He's not going to be Godlike, but to compare him with Ben Kusto is just ridiculous IMO.

    You need to pay attention to your club a little more.. the bloke is only 29 and he'll definatley be there for 3 and half more years... you think that constitutes having room in your salary cap?

    I know how old Hindmarsh is. I'm just saying that he's not going to be there forever and he'd be on 400K+ TBH.

    I doubt he'd also be able to keep up his workrate as he steadily gets older which would effectively decrease his worth.

    Agree with most of what you just said but what does this have to do with my point of the Eels not being able to sign Wing because they don't have enough room in teh cap?

    Petero doesn't make 50+ tackles a game. Their styles and positions are vastly different which is the main reason why Petero can keep up what he does best.

    Parrmatta lost some players on pretty fair salaries last year, surely they didn't spend all that on juniors and Hindmarsh.

    Yeah, Hindy just re-signed for 3 years, then has made it clear he is retiring. He would be on a decent salary, I see your point. Inu and Hayne both took a pay cut to stay at the Eels though IIRC.

    Would rather we use the money of a decent halfback, instead of blowing it on a hooker/utility, but it isn't the worst thing in the world.

    Mortimer/Keating still need an organising half for them to thrive under. ATM they have Robson, and Mortimer has already proven to be better than him :p...

    Agree 100% that we should have kept Finch.

    At that time in the season, Finch/Keating was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Finch/Hayne, yet they blamed Finch for us failing and got rid of him. Anderson is a ****ing tool in most parts, way too much faith in Hayne.
