Haha. I just feel, personally, that it's for the benefit of SR if we get everything new and don't keep anything we have now, make it new, everything exciting. Get people with mates but maybe with other people they don't know quite so well as well to make it different, if you go new then don't just keep the Spartans or the Vikings because that's defeating the object of the exercise IMO.
What is so bad about that? Why force core groups to split so that it is more even? The new regos will create somewhat of an even playing field anyway, as everyone is a new player and doesn't know how they'll perform. I for one would like to see the Vikings remain.
It's choice, people are in different subforums with their Cricsim and RL sim clubs anyway. Hell even Soccersim. Scrap the Spartans and you've lost myself, Heef and Smelly so far.
Yeah I understand that but IMO everything new means everything new, not everything new, except keeping the Spartans.
Should just keep the same teams for season 1 of the new sim and re-open contracts. If people want to stay at the Vikings, Spartans, Giants or Cheetahs then they will. At the end of Season 1, if any team is ripe to be cut, they will be cut. Simple - no pissing about for Admins and no upset for players who are genuinely happy with being in their team. Plus no hurry up for Heef.
Oh btw, please make it so post count is only a small part of determining your stats rather than 40% like it is on RL.
And I agree with CCG, you can't just keep the Spartans. Either all new teams (which I don't like) or you keep the existing teams.
What's the point in that? It detracts from activity and from the people who've put time into constant activity in posting in the RU section. Keep it as it is IMO, and get people posting if they want to become better players.
