    They fucked up big in the trade period.

    -Shouldn't have picked up Rodan and Byrnes. Both outside players who are past it
    -Paid over for Dawes and they've got Hogan coming though anyway. Should have kept #20 and tried to get Grundy
    -#53 and #73 for Stefan Martin was a rip off, should have played hardball
    -Cale Morton is mud, but surely they could have got more then #88 out of the Eagles

    Didn't mind the Gillies and Pedersen pick-ups though.

    Stefan Martin is a bumbler, I think we could have done a little bit better but he really is never going to set the world on fire.. and I'm just glad to see Cale Morton off to be perfectly honest. I also think it's pretty retarded if Schwarz actually said the fans have no hope except for Jack Viney when we still have Jesse Hogan lined up for next year and quite a number of young players who still have a ton of development to do (Toumpas, Blease, Watts, etc.).

    That said, I honestly would love to see the back of about a third of our team. Dunn, Sylvia, McKenzie, JMac, Davey, Sellar are seriously lacking right now and I honestly can't see any team being a top four team while having to carry this bunch.

    Agree a ton from what I have seen so far, apparently Byrnes has been training well and dominated the intra-club match too. I get the feeling he will have a respectable year and kick 40-50 goals.

    and Sylvia too; he's a good player, a very good one. '09/'10/'11 he was awesome and his last 11 games of '12 he was your best.

    Nah DWTA. He is capable of being a good player, and he definitely has had quite a few good games, but he is way too inconsistent at this stage. I think he might be one player who you have missed as he just has way too many games where he delivers nothing. If he could play at his peak consistently he would be a very good footballer like you state but he is not even close to that at the moment.

    He's been a lock in my dt/sc for about 5 years. I rate him. I also watch every game of afl each week twice. I haven't missed him :p

    I think he'd be a much better player at a team like Collingwood though.

    He finished 2012 very strongly, to his credit, but his early season form was all over the place and I think he might have even been axed in a team that couldn't win a single game until halfway through the year. I agree that he has the ability to play great footy in patches but I just can't agree that he is a very good footballer when he is getting the axe in a team who hadn't won a game for months.
