Returning to football, but doesn't want to come back to Melbourne apparently. Melbourne are able to trade him though.

Fuck I'd be so stiff if I were Melbourne

Pay a high pick and big bucks for a bloke who then CBFs and does a glorified Mal Michael on you.

Good to see him coming back to football but fuck you would have to be pissed off from a Demons perspective.

The Essendon Jetta set to quit the bombers, getting out before he is delisted.

  8. PaulFromOz PF Oz

Apparently he stayed in Victoria, since quitting.

Will be an absolute kick in the guts if Clark goes off to another club, especially after we funded his fucking photography gap year. Yet another disaster for us.

    Clark meeting with Hird today.

Of all the clubs why would someone like Clark go to Essendon. With his history of mental illness the vibe and tension around the club would serve no good.

  12. Skippos SM Morgan

yeah this is beginning to feel a little distasteful

Every chance Jeremy Cameron ends up in Adelaide (be it crows or port, crows looking more likely but i'm cynical) this trade week.

    Would be amazing

    Umm, why Adelaide? :/

I love it how people just assume that big name players are only ever going to want to go to a Melbourne club and that nobody would want to come to adelaide. And people wonder why the afl isn't near as equal as the draft system would want it.

But to be fair I agree, I don't get why you'd want to come to Adelaide either. No prestige, no class, no respect from the media and to top it off a player is just as known and footy is just as big. Can't hide. To me players either move clubs to get first team footy, or if they're from WA or Vic they move to go home. Rarely do good players from SA ever want to come back as simply once they get out they realise how good it is to be out.

With Cameron though, he's from Dartmoor. Dartmoor depends on mount gambier as the regional centre. All flights there go through gambier. For Cameron to get home he goes from Sydney to Gambier then drives to Dartmoor. Or Sydney to Melbourne to Gambier as flights are rare. To get home from Melbourne he flies over Dartmoor, while as the crow flies it's an equal distance from melb to home as it is adelaide, the route is longer. Also far more flights leave from Adelaide.

Also worth considering that Jeremy is as country as they come. Like he loves hunting and shooting and fishing and the bush. I don't know for sure but I imagine if he wanted to live in the bush it'd be at least over an hour out of Melbourne, possible more. In Adelaide I live in the bush and I'm 20-30 minutes out of the city. Adelaide has a lot of country and nature type areas very close to the city as it's not a huge place (and plenty of the population live north of the city leaving the south/east areas quite small). That might appeal

My guess would be that given where he's from, despite being a vic he hardly feels an emotional pull towards Melbourne as he's so far away from it and likely rarely ever went there. So in deciding to move clubs it'd be about a few different things, proximity to home, lifestyle, compliance of the club to allow him to spend time home and wage among them, things adelaide can all provide.

As much as I'm a cynic and all that and pessimistic about the crows, it actually makes sense in Cameron's situation.

Wow longer post than i expected sorry guys

Tl;dr adelaide is closer to his home town than Melbourne and he likely has no connection or pull there

Lol, so you're making assumptions? This isn't based on any new info? That was what my question about, I like Adelaide dude.
