    * The Bulldogs are this years Port (talking the 2013 model, not the 2014 model)
    * Carlton are spoon contenders
    * You need any half-decent tall forward to compete in matches. Brisbane weren't slaughtered in the I50's, but North actually had guys they could kick it towards.
    * Geelong have finally fallen off the cliff.
    * It looks like GWS has surpassed the Gold Coast.

    - Adelaide could cause some damage in September
    - Sydney won't go away from the top of the ladder
    - Port could be 0-5 with their next 3 against Kangas (away), Hawthorn (home) and Adelaide. Long way back from that position

    - The drug culture at GC is beginning to slowly kill them. Players acting laconic as fuck, just cbf in general
    - Rory Thompson needs to seriously reconsider where he's at. Wasting so much talent
    - Mid range meh players like Hallahan aren't good enough to be your inside ball winners. GC lack genuine inside midfield class
    - Geelong just don't have it
    - Fyfe is a top 3-5 player in the comp. Would run away with being #1 if he could hit targets
    - Bontempelli is a top 10 player in the comp provided this isn't just a temporary purpple patch
    - Leppa needs to learn to position his players correctly
    - Mason Wood is excellent
    - Gus Brayshaw is a star
    - But not as much of a star as Heeney
    - Cam McCarthy is seriously, seriously good. Not just in the 'kicking goals' sense - but his work rate and defensive efforts are better than nearly every KPF already.
    - Carlton are in for 5+ years in the bottom 6
    - The Bulldogs still aren't very good
    - Dylan Shiel is a superstar already

    Yuck. He's part of the reason we've been up so long that now looks so rough. He needs to work on Plan B, but Bomber never had a Plan B. When Plan A works, it works well.

    For the record, I've been Scott out for at least a year. I don't like the way we play - and we seem to get killed in the middle of the park week in, week out. The better teams seem to have us well and truly figured out now, which is a problem because as you said, there is absolutely no plan B.

    I think the way Hawthorn play wins them matches on its own, let alone their talent. I think when we do win, it's purely because he had top quality personnel to do the work, but the work wasn't anything special itself.

    The way we play is a result of a lack of talent inside, we don't have the cattle. Selwood is an elite inside midfielder, but that's about it. Steve Johnson is good around the clearances, but he's clearly still not at his best and our next best guy was Christensen who just left the club. That leaves Guthrie (who is still tagging, when he shouldn't imo) and GHS who was not picked for R1 astoundingly. That's poor selection, but not gameplan. I actually think our gameplan - for the list we have - is very good (or was until it was figured out) there's just no plan B. Look at this week - our tackling intensity was superb in the first half but we were still down because we just don't have the players with the ability to win the hard ball. They've been looking for Duncan to make that jump but it hasn't happened - he's an outside player and they've worked that out and played him on a wing the first two weeks. The rest of our talent looks great on paper too, because they play outside primarily, but it just isn't balanced. We won 17 games last year but having a great structure set up behind the ball, but it was figured out and just isn't suited to finals footy too - which is why we went out in straight sets.

    Can't forget Caddy, the guy's a bull. If you ask me, that lineup of players on paper appears better than most teams in the comp.
