    Id think theyd let him go if he really wants to stay there, only 2 real options if he doesnt want to go to any other club

    -Stay at city either not playing or being loaned out until contract runs out then move
    or
    - Mutual release of contract

    If theres interest by big clubs and he fancys it hed probably follow the money though
