Make more Melbourne suburban teams IMO.

  2. brettman135 BR Hall

    Taylors Lake

    Theo as Coach, Captain.
Tambling and JOK and main targets.

    I'm gonna take this seriously

Gonna give myself the same concessions GWS had but with a realistic salary cap and trade more heavily. Gonna just run with those who were out of contract at the start of the year are eligible for teh poaching as it'd be kinda difficult midseason

I think it's a bit of a joke that they don't have a team already (Tasmania)

They don't want a team in Tasmania, unless it was an already established Melbourne club that relocated, As until recently they had been keen to reduce the number of teams in Melbourne.

The AFL want national dominance & money, and the fight for that is in QLD & NSW, Not Tassie as it's already a AFL state.

The second team in NSW has already been a monumental failure so far hasn't it?

    Putting good money after bad.

Would have to make a Victorian country team, really connect with grass roots so to speak.

Play 80% of home games out of Bendigo and Ballarat, rotating each home game and take games to Shepparton, Warrnambool, Mildura, Wodonga etc. in different years. Victoria really isn't a huge state and it's not too much further than St. George to Illawarra which works for the NRL side.

I think it would be attractive for blokes who grew up in country towns and small cities in that it'd be easier to adjust to playing top level sport in big cities from such a young age.

    Country Victorian FC (Mascot tbd)
Maroon, Gold and White (lol) colour scheme, which I think works well for NSW Country's rep rugby league side.

Would obviously aim for players who grew up in the bush.

Nobody predicted it was going to consume the state in a season and a half

Tassie deserve a new side. Average around 15,000 attendance at Hawthorn games and I'm pretty sure they'd get behind a Tassie team.

I actually thought the Paddington Bears and Wellington Boots were cleverererer, but lolz are lolz.

Regardless I'd have to get the 19th license with one of these options.

It would make sense for Hawthorn to take pick #1 and a player for buddy if it was to happen. They'd obviously take Boyd with that pick who is touted as being the next Buddy - and if you've seen him play you'd know why
