    It's a bit of a shame to see them both down there, not saying they should be in the 17 by any means but they both went alright for us back in the day. We churned through the halves the past 5/6 years, Craigie, Rogers, Champion played as a specialist 5/8 for a while, Paea, Williams, Ben Walker, Mick Moran.

    Ben Walker was decent (nothing more, but decent). I don't think he was ever decent for Souths though - not for more than one game out of every five anyway - so he doesn't really count. I reckon it's fair to say that the last decent halfback they had was Craig Field.
