Test Final - Escath XV vs. Thunder RFC (vBookie)

30:15: Great run there from Simon Humble. He bulldozes through John Heads and gains a good 10m before passing away to Sam Graham. Graham gains another couple of metres, but is well tackled by Jake Wilkinson. Ritchie and Dafter come in and ensure the ball is retained.

Siege Morgan tries the pick and go, but is nailed by Markarse Deane. John McGrath backs him up and that's a turnover for the Thunder. The ball comes back to Jordan Logan who kicks clear. He's skewed it though, and he only gains about 8m.

Line out to the Escath team. Another good throw from Smith and Davis takes another easy ball there. Davis passes off to McDougal who gains a bit of distance before being tackled by Callum Laing. Just 10m from the line now, Chris Golding with the ball - he's nailed by Delonge, but Escath forwards are there to secure clean ball.

That's come to Bobby Blunder. He's spied someone in space on the far side - he's gone for a League-style crossfield kick...

 

...and, yes! That's Lucas Schaw in space over there. A pin-point kick from the utility back and Schaw catches it and runs over in the corner! Finally, a try!

 

Loughman with a tricky conversion from out wide, but that's a beautiful connection and it just sneaks inside the far upright. Great kick.

 

A tricky couple of minutes before half time saw the Escath team quickly back on the attack and back in the Thunder 22. The attack was snuffed out by a great tackle by Jake Wilkinson on Gareth Weaver. Deane, Delonge and Laing followed into the resulting ruck to secure the turnover.

Damp conditions really making a difference here. I reckon Escath's team would have been 3 tries to the good in dry conditions.

 

To be fair, you are the weakest player out there. By some distance, really. You'll tear up in 2nd grade though. Possibly decent in 1st grade by the end of the season if you keep posting.

 

Also love that the stats show the dominance of Escath's team. Thunder have been having to do an absolute shit load more tackles.
