Meh, he tried to do too much in the first. Couple of times holding onto the ball trying to be a hero when he should have passed but I guess that's to be expected.

In other news the Reds are waaay too good. Rego's in the money tonight :)

I swear Bet365 is high atm. Put $2 on the Reds to score the 5th try @ 2.00. Netting the profits tonight - well low profits :p

Despite some flaws he might have, he is still one of the better future prospects to emerge this year. He will still get polished and then become a great, I am sure of this.

And yeah, the Reds were absolutely superior in all aspects of the game.

Hurricanes might actually have a decent (well better at least) crowd tonight. 12800 tickets were already sold by yesterday afternoon and it's a fine night today (after some terrible weather).

    I'm liking this :)

Have to hold on here. Injuries have not been our friend.

    You fucking beauty!!!!!!

Very happy. Good 1st 40 obviously. One positive was our defence. Not sure if we'll be able to go all the way with all these injuries but good to see the benchies step up.

Equation is simple, beat the Chiefs and we're through. Must be the first time we've beaten the Crusaders both times, in one season?

    More money for me :)

Went to the game. Was well worth going to see the Crusaders lose, especially after the Hurricanes lost Vito, Leiua and Coles to injury. Some really cynical play from the Crusaders at times and the antithesis of Hurricane's home reffing when the ref missed a double knock-on by the Crusaders with about 15 minutes to go.

Yes I was watching the home town calls and the ref missed that one. But a helpful penalty when the full time siren went was good for wellington,
But yes very evenly reffed game overall and not too much for the tin hat people to talk about.

Hadley Parkes the difference between both sides for me, quality quality quality performance off the bench.

i was out of my seat when the wellington 5 got the breakaway try.
    Good wheels. Faster than Manu.

Again Dane Coles is a weak scrummager - Reg Goodes comes on and the ship steadies.

Matu'u can't throw in the lineout for shit either. Every single game, he comes on and fucks up. Sure there was no Vito but even so.

Lol. Sader's fans complaining that the reason they lost was because of the international break. Whilst having an international break is a good debate to have, it ain't no excuse. Every fucking team is affected. In fact we lost Conrad Smith from it. Our benchies stood up, there's did not.

didn't their shit fuck team get a game against England anyway?

so they cant be complaining about rust?

Good fucking point mate. Hurricanes haven't played in six weeks or something.

Also agree with Rego - Matu'u is awful at the line-out. Missed 2 out of 2 whilst Reggie Goodes comes on and hits the target 2 out of 2.

Any news on the injuries? Leiua looked in a pretty bad way.

Reg Goodes is a real improver. In earlier rounds of the competition he was a work in progress. He would knock the ball on in the loose, he would crawl along the ground and be penalised etc. He didn't know his own limitations and wouldn't play within them.
Either he or the coaching staff have had a think about his game management because he looked much much better last night and secured a match saving turn over.

Leiua's gone for the rest of the season, Vito is questionable and Coles is fine.

    So what's everyone's playoff predictions???

With only 2 rounds left, it's going to be interesting. 4 NZ teams could possibly end up in the play offs. The NZ team that most likely misses out will be the loser of the Chiefs vs Hurricanes clash this Friday night.

I just don't know if the Blues can pull off victories against both the Saders and the Chiefs so reckon they'll miss out. If the Canes beat the Chiefs, the Canes are in, Chiefs out.

Personally predicting these 6 teams (in no order):

    Waratahs
    Sharks
    Highlanders
    Crusaders
    Hurricanes
    Brumbies

Whilst the Brumbies aren't exactly at full strength, they have the bye and only have one game left to win, against the Force. If they lose this, and the Blues, Force and Chiefs only win 1 of their last 2 games, that 6th spot is anyone's and BP's and PD could be crucial.

If the Brumbies fail to beat the Force, my money's on the Force taking that 6th spot as they have the Reds this weekend whom have been pretty inconsistent.

With the Canes going last night the Chiefs keep their playoff run alive. With the Blues losing tonight, the Hurricanes will actually probably still qualify since the Force and Brumbies play each other next week meaning only one of those teams will qualify. That being said it all depends on the Chiefs game next week, if they win that. The Force need to win against the Brumbies but lose this week.

    Gonna be interesting.

Whilst logistically Singapore makes sense, it doesn't make sense for the future of rugby. That would definitely favour Japan

Personally I'd rather they stop adding teams but it's going to happen so why debate it....
