You made an equally shit post about Cronulla regretting letting Townsend go because Holdsworth was playing like shit the other day.

When your backup player gets offered for a first-13 contract, then you can't match it. You'd be stupid to; it'd eat up too much of your cap. Letting Townsend go will only prove to be a poor decision by Cronulla if he outplays Robson this year - not Holdsworth who was signed on a #17-25 contract - and the Peats decision will only haunt Souths if he outplays Luke. Both are unlikely.

I reckon we will see some changes to the team for this coming weekend. I would go with

    1. Inglis
    2. Merritt
    3. Goodwin
    4. Walker
    5. Johnston
    6. Sutton
    7. Reynolds
    8. S Burgess
    9. Mcinnis
    10. G Burgess
    11. Teo
    12. Mcqueen
    13. Picker

    14. Api
    15. L Burgess
    16. Turner
    17. Tyrell/Lowe

  4. Cribbage RG Cribb

Recall Champion, Goodwin to the wing, IMO.

    Koroisau >>>> mcinnes.

I love Champion as a player, but Goodwin is hopeless on the wing. You would be weakening both positions IMO.

Even if i thought that was the case (which i don't) Mcinnes is the better option to start with. Api will provide more impact off the bench.

    Is Tuqiri injured?

I reckon he's going ok otherwise.

  8. Julian BJ Taylor

You'll pump Canberra though and all the fans will be convinced you're all good.

If Fensom is still out defo. Last game showed Vaughan should be a bench option only thus far as talented/promising as he is.

Edwards should play lock and another edge backrower could come in e.g Joe Picker ohhh wait :p

  10. rabbit boy RA Boy

    Nope, not injured.

He has been fairly solid (except under the high ball) but I feel a big part of our problem at the moment is our total lack of speed/excitement out wide.

  11. Julian BJ Taylor

Fensom was suspended for 1 week so I don't see why he'd be out.

Last night showed absolutely nothing about Vaughan. he played lock for about 20 minutes and was promising. he had about 8 minutes on the bench then had to go and play the rest of the game at right second row which he's not suited to at all.

You can't tease Canberra about this when your side is for some reason playing Picker up the guts and Lowe on the edge. :p

    :( this is truths^

  14. Julian BJ Taylor

And although he butchered the play in open field, he's made one run on the edge, changed his line and made a clean line break.

Preaching to one of the converted. Needs an edge I agree

    1.Inglis
    2.Merritt
    3.Goodwin
    4.Reddy
    5.Walker
    6.Sutton (KEARY)
    7.Reynolds
    8.Lurgess (Surgess)
    9.Koroisau (Luke)
    10.Gurgess
    11.Teo (Sutton)
    12.McQueen
    13.Surgess (Teo)

    14.Mcinnes (Koroisau) Clark when fit
    15. Turgess
    16.Picker
    17.Tyrell (Lurgess)

  16. Julian BJ Taylor

don't know what you cunts see in reddy. he's terrible.

  17. Cribbage RG Cribb

Yeah pretty much agree with that, from 6 down anyway. I'm a Champion fan and also think Walker would be wasted on the wing so I don't agree with the backline but the halves/forwards are spot on. Sutton definitely needs to play on the edge rather than up the guts when Keary is back.

  18. Julian BJ Taylor

    next week I'd go

    inglis
    tuqiri
    walker
    Goodwin
    Merritt
    sutton
    Reynolds
    Sam
    hooker a
    Tyrrell
    teo
    McQueen
    Lowe

    Luke
    George
    picker
    hooker b

you need George burgess off the bench IMO.

I'm a champ fan as well Cribb but Reddy and Goodwin provide that extra defensive presence on the edge to support Merritt and Walkers speed and skill with their below average man marking/defence. Was originally not convinced Goodwin at centres would work but fmd he's immense defensively one in from the wing. Nails his opposite centre all day everyday.

Walker is great in attack in the centres so I'd be tempted to have Goodwin and/or Reddy do hos centres defence which allows him to tackle less;stay fresher and thresten more with ball in hand.
