Hows Coote going at 5/8th? I didn't get to see the game. Was actually supposed to go up and watch with a mate who's a mad sharkys supporter, would've been awesome.
Look I'm probably biased considering a) I love Coote b) I've been calling for him to play five-eighth since the pre-season But I think he's been excellent in both games. Certainly looks more at home there than he has at fullback all this year. I'm not nearly as wrapped in how Mansour's gone at fullback as most though. If Coote's going to be your five-eighth next year (which he should be IMO) then you're going to need to find another fullback. I'd almost be tempted by Jennings, you know.

Yeah, he wasn't great but I'd still give him a few more games to find his feet. Looks like Stapo won't be resigned for the Sharks, Penrith should sign him to play fullback.
I just don't think he has the skillset to do it. At best he'll end up like a present day Minichiello, and that'd be awful. I actually find it kinda strange that Penrith are bothering playing Gordon at fullback at the moment given their season is dead and they don't know who will be fullback for them next year. I'm guessing they're just expecting Whare to slot straight in there when he comes across but I don't really think he's the answer either, and giving Jennings or indeed even Mansour who I don't think is up to the position a shot to see how they adapt to it makes more sense to me than putting Gordon there.
Yeah as I said above Whare will probably play fullback but even though he's gone okay there for Manly I don't really think it's his spot either. Was a junior centre and I'd prefer to see him replace Tighe, or even replace Jennings was Jennings having a crack at the back himself.
Yeah posting simultaneously ftl. I think it would be worth trying Jennings out at the back for a game or two now, he'd be dangerous in broken play but I imagine he'd be terrible defensively and positionally. I just can't see him putting his body on the line for those little grubbers ingoal and things.
