AFLSIM SEMI-FINAL: BEARS V RUSHED BEHINDS The Cribbsim Complex has temporarily had it's pitch removed to accommodate the AFLsim finals series, hence the lack of games this week. The first game sees the Bears and Rushed Behinds face off. Clearly the second and third best teams of the season, the Bears sport a far better record against the Rushed Behinds, whose end to the season was nothing short of awful. The Bears go in $1.60 favourites compared to the Rushed Behinds at $2.25 Key Matchups: Siege Morgan (RBS) v Ben Storer (BEARS): Morgan and Storer have never played on each other before, so this matchup is a bit unpredictable. Morgan kicked 6 goals in his last outing, while Storer's defense from fullback has been impeccable of late. Storer is prone to the odd bad game however, and Morgan will be looking to take advantage of this and impress the local scouts with a big bag Heath Davis (RBS) v Bears' Midfield: Davis has never been seen in the midfield before. It's rumoured that the Rushed Behinds coach noted the shellackings the Rushed Behinds have received against the Bears, and decided to make some changes. One of these sees 193cm, 100kg Heath Davis head into the middle to bring some grunt and physicality to the Rushed Behinds midfield and overpower the Bears. Lacking in footskills, if the Bears can resist the physical barrage, they look likely to run over the RBs midfield Samuel Yates (RBS) v Theo Miokovic (BEARS): Miokovic has been the premier full forward in the competition in everyone bar Dirk Diggler's eyes. Yates has been moved from the flank and midfield to counter the threat of the fast and agile Miokovic. It's hoped that Yates's agility will prove a better matchup for Miokovic than a behemoth defender, but it's more than possible that his inexperience at full back will allow Miokovic to run wild. Prediction: Bears by 9 goals. Miokovic to kick 5 with Boland best on ground.
