I'm going to go with A just because jumping from 7 to 10 teams is too much, but I want that bye round gone so we need even teams!
Voted A. 10 would be too much but we need more teams, it seems. Having too many players in one club without subbies, doesn't make sense either.
Go with A to eliminate the bye and then try to build up enough player depth to install a reserve grade beneath that eventually, even if some teams have to have merged reserve grade teams for a little bit or there's no ladder or what have you.
I'm not sure I want a reserve grade competition tbh. Maybe if we have guys missing out on a heap of minutes each game to be fair to them, but my goal is to have teams playing rookies primarily off the bench and increasing their minutes as they perform, like they usually do in the NBA. Yeah, we could, but do we want to?
I love the Ida of Divisions. I think you end up playing more games that you care about. In real life it makes sense to me, so I think it should be prefered in a sim for realism.
I'm keen for divisions tbh, I'm not sure who else would be too though. Also I'm sure the teams who cop the 'Staches will complain and whoever gets the Colts will celebrate But yeah, if people are keen for divisions I'd be happy to do it that way. Would probably mean more games per season as I'd go 4x divisional opponents (2 home, 2 away) and 2x inter-division (1 home, 1 away) for a 20 game schedule.
