Mariner to still win. Can't argue with 8.66 points conceded per game, compared to 20.

  3. Howe JHF Howe

Nice. I think Brudenell were the more fancied side pre-tournament though?

  4. Mariner CL Warrington

Not as much as that would suggest though. Still, should be a good game.

Marginally. Probably would have been evens pre-tournament.

  8. Howe JHF Howe

Ridiculous how shite Gayler has been. Thought he was a decent reserves player at least.

  9. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

    Whoops. Apologies for that.

  10. Arheiner SIA Yates

I can assure you it wasn't graceful though.

Sick try from Blunder & Bender. Needed that from my marquee backs just before the break

Fark, Tyson with the miss tackle.

"Pretzel Spark is tackled by Paul Oz for the Hurricanes and a ruck forms. The ruck is contested. It looks like they might have stolen it here, after a massive hit from Jonty Rhodes in the ruck. Yep, that's a turnover.

( 0:38.45: Hurricanes 17 - 10 Spartans) The next phase to be played from 37 metres on the Hurricanes side of the halfway line.

Bobby Blunder with ball in the midst of a mass of bodies. The defensive line rushes up to meet him and he can only go sideways. A thumping tackle by Jonty Rhodes. A ruck forms as they fight over the ball."

    I'm actually contributing today, yay.

Amusing start to the second half. Leading in 45 seconds

The Spartans are looking to keep the ball in close here. Dave Eggman snatches the ball off the ruck and drives down field. He gains 5 metres. It looks like he's going to be tackled by Chris Raftery but incredibly, he's able to get the ball away to Dave Eggman.

what happened here? Hand-off masquerading as an offload?
