    Nah.

  2. Howe JHF Howe

Pretty sure Callum wouldn't have to bat at five for us

Sif the Somestars would even get a spot in the Callum line-up.

  4. MrPrez CM Dyer

    Clones would crush us.

Haha, they're basically in a league of their own. This is how the odds program rates the lineups named this week (if they were all to play at CribbSim Complex):

    Vipers - 149.01
    Allstars - 127.11
    Pumas - 123.74
    Stingrays - 123.21
    Ravens - 112.15 (no Faithful)
    Gamblers - 108.94 (no Read)
    Crusaders - 108.68
    Cyclones - 103.33 (no Verigotta)
    Sticky Wickets - 102.71

    Somestars - 82.36

    Punters - 62.27 (no Furball)
    Kittens - 61.73 (no Lover)
Test Eagles - 61.61 (no Denton)
    Cobras - 61.48 (no Blunder)
    Fangs - 55.53 (no Berkuta)
    Brumbies - 54.88 (no Short)
    Kings - 54.73
    Knights - 52.90

So basically all the BS teams have ratings over 100, and the ALC teams have ratings from 50-65. Except the Somestars - they're rated 80 odd, in no-man's land. They'd probably make the PCDIY final too, on paper at least (against NZ).

I'd think Britain second XI would be about that good, i.e. between first and second grade. Almost all our players are either BS newbs or very good ALC players. Or Eds.

Last week's provincial Second XI lineups:

New Zealand Second XI - 94.55
    (Somestars - 82.36)
    Britain Second XI - 81.20
    Queensland Second XI - 73.31
NSW Country Second XI - 72.67
NSW City Second XI - 71.10
    Victoria Second XI - 62.31
    Asia Second XI - 61.87

So yeah, that's the sort of standard that competition is in general. New Zealand Second XI are basically just a bad BS team while Victoria Seconds and Asia Seconds are the equivalent of good ALC teams. The rest of them fall somewhere in between BS and ALC standard.. with the Somestars.

I think the Clones will take this one.

How are the fangs doing so badly if we're rated mid table?

Actually we're lower down than I realised :p

You were rated a fair bit lower before you signed Coldplay and Force.

    Ah ok then.

What do they look like when everyones at full strength with the bracketed players?

Well, at least the two of the weaker sides are facing off against each other tonight, should be good. I actually have belief that we will be able to notch up our first win here.

Surprised Coldplay and Force are so much better than the previous players given the relatively equal post counts.

It's more a balance thing. Tiger was batting 11 and barely getting a bowl. Coldplay and Force are obviously much better batsmen than Tiger.

I am not going to figure that out.

Looking for a win here stickies smash them apart.

    Fingers crossed.

Keen to see if the Stickies can bounce back after the thrashing last week.
