    Seriously, what the fuck is with this pitch. I think the groundsman needs a heavy beating because this is not what we ordered.

    Good win though, but if the pitch keeps playing like this, we're gonna end up drawing a few that we should be winning.

    Good work from Storer - nice century, bud and who was I batting with Cribb?

    Emm.

    Re: the pitch - the Cyclones are very much a batting side (they have the worst bowling quotient by a mile but a better batting quotient than the Vipers), so I wouldn't use this match to read into it too much. But yeah, the lack of cracking is going to make it largely a batting pitch - there is plenty of pace and bounce in it, but no sideways movement.

    I have to say I don't understand the pitch thing at all. Put down Fast Assist and you get only bounce and no sideways movement? Mind you, this was less odd than the Pumas game where it was a road for three innings and then fell apart. :confused:

    Assistance plays less of a part than cracking/wear and bounce, I've found. I didn't make this program, so I'm as clueless as you are for the most part. You got the pitch you wanted for the one dayers (because I made that program) but you lost anyway. :p

    And the pitch didn't fall apart in the Pumas game - it was still as flat as ever in the fourth innings - you just batted like dicks.

    So, could I suggest that in the future you rename Spin, Medium and Fast assistance something like Cracking, Movement and Bounce? That seems to me (though obviously I don't see as much of the game as you do) a more accurate reflection of how the assistance thing is really working.

    You've already entered figures for cracking and bounce though; they're separate values. I was just saying I think they play more of a role in the game than the assistance settings.
