Update: The players are on the field, the crowd is screaming, the referee blows his whistle and Jacobs gets us underway here at ICA stadium!
Update – 4th minute: Some heavy paced rugby league to start off this match. The ball is with the Test Eagles now who have the ball 30 metres out from their own line. It is 3rd tackle and the ball comes away from Izett to Lewis, who charges it forward and gets taken down. He plays it now back to the dummy half who throws it to Jacobs, who wraps around Parker and he takes it forward. Last tackle now, the ball comes back to Izett, he looks to kick it downfield, he does so OH he is smashed in the process! This will be interesting, will it be a penalty? YES IT IS! The referee has blown his whistle and it is a penalty to the Test Eagles! Tim Taylor has taken out the hooker after he kicked it and the eagles will have the ball now 20 metres out! The ball is played back to Jacobs, he gets it, draws the defender, throws it wide to Funkotron, WHO THROWS IT BACK ON THE INSIDE TO JACOBS AND THERE IS NO ONE IN FRONT OF HIM! JACOBS WILL SCORE! Brilliantly worked play there! The defense did not see that ball coming back on the inside and a brilliantly worked move leads to a try for the Test Eagles! 4-0 with a kick to come. Funkotron for the goal, right in front and should have no troubles….and he doesn’t. The try is converted it is 0-6 to the Test Eagles!
