I only watched the first half but simply going through the hands to James Roberts side would've made Marty LAng look capable at fullback
The fundimental positional play of so many NRL wingers is worse than what I see at my local group 7 park footy.
I think I'd still like to see Watson there next season with Latrell in the threequarters, but signing Gordon just makes that really unlikely. I guess Watson will go back to his bench utility role again.
It wasn't simply going through the hands though, it was a nice double pump. Made it look simple but that's what a nice piece of ball playing always does. Plenty of fullbacks in the game who would have blown that.
Yeh Robinson said as much only a couple of days ago. Still not sure what I make of Connor Watson to be honest but I'm a big Joey Manu fan so I'd love to see him in the centres next year.
