Update - 29th minute:The Cyclones have struggled early on in the match but they look to start getting some momentum back. They have the ball now in the Hawks half, 45 metres out, 3rd tackle and Nova has just been taken down. The ball comes back to Farhat, he looks to pass out wide, nobody wants it though and decides to go himself! Steps, BEATS ONE! Gets taken down ,he looks to play the ball quickly here. OH HE HAS BEEN PENALISED! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! He has played the ball too quickly before getting up says the referee and they have just given the Hawks a golden opportunity! Absolute coach killer! Taylor kicks the ball downfield! They are now just 20 metres out! The ball gets taken forward by Monkeywrench who gets taken down just before the 10. The ball comes back to Taylor, who dummies, looks to pass it out wide, FLINGS AN INSIDE BALL UNEXPECTEDLY TO GEMMELL WHO GOES STRAIGHT THROUGH! GEMMELL FOR THE LINE! GEMMELL WILL SCORE! GEMMELL SCORES FOR THE HAWKS! Lazy cyclones defense there! The referee blows the whistle and the hawks now have a big 14-0 lead with a kick to come. Update – 30th minute: The Cyclones set to kick off here once again. Farhat, thumps the ball down field, oh know it is too big! Retzel lets the ball go NO IT BOUNCED BEFORE THE DEAD BALL LINE! OH what an absolute tragic error! It will be a goal line drop out to the Cyclones and the Hawks have just made a big mistake in judgement letting that ball bounce! It looked as though it was going dead on the full but it bounced just before the line. Taylor with the restart, he thumps it and it lands into the arms of Fittler who gives it to big Gareth Weaver, HE IS CHARGING AT 100 MILES AN HOUR! BOOM! OH WEAVER HAS JUST CLEANED UP 2 DEFENDERS AND HAS GONE STRAIGHT THROUGH! WEAVER TO THE 30..TO THE 20!! HE IS PULLED DOWN! Brilliant run by Weaver! The ball now is played back to Dempsey, he throws it to fittler, there is a massive overlap here! Fittler throws it to Read who throws it to Boland, WHO IS OVER! NO, he is tackled bfore the line! Masters comes in to dummy half, he tries to go himself, he evades one defender, goes sideways, throws a short ball to Borisc BORISC HITS A HOLE, BORISC GOES THROUGH, HE DUMMIES AND THE CYCLONES ARE IN! The ball comes back to Fittler, who throws it to Farhat and he is taken down 40 metres out. Last tackle what will they do here. Fittler gets the ball, HE CHIPS OVER THE TOP! THE BALL BOUNCES…..IN TO FITTLER’S HANDS! FULLBACK TO BEAT! WHERE IS THE SUPPORT?? BOLAND IS THERE! FITTLER THROWS IT TO BOLAND, BOLAND IS AWAY..NO ONE IN FRONT OF HIM!..TO THE 30! GEMMELL IS CHASING HIM! TO THE 20…GEMMEL IS CATCHING UP! GEMMELL GRABS BOLAND! BOLAND TRIES TO FEND HIM OFF…AND DOES! BOLAND WILL SCORE! BOLAND IS OVER FOR THE CYCLONES! AN UNBELIEVABLE TRY! The Cyclones are in again just before half time and are will and truly in this one! 16-10 with a kick to come! Gonzalez, an easy one here for him right under the posts.
