Is the greatest prop of all time?

This is pretty strong language, but Blocker is probably the worst commentator I've ever come across

  3. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

The fact you say probably instead of definitely is offensive to me.

    I can't decide if you're retarded or a troll.

  6. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

    Bit of both I think.

Well the definition of a retard is someone who has an IQ of 70 points or lower.
    I have:
    - Two university degrees
    - Scored 98%, 95% and 96% on three different first year maths courses and was invited and encouraged by the maths faculty to major in maths and pursue it for my undergrad major
    - Was on the Deans List for my 3rd year in undergrad
    - Graduated with honours from my undergrad
    - Attended a prestigious University in the US for my masters that required you to have a 3.5 GPA for admittance and is ranked 4th in the world by the economist magazine for MBA programmes. Harvard Business school is number one. Insead in France is number 2. Stanford is probably 3rd. Columbia is like 20th and UCLA would be 40th or 50th. No Australian or NZ university is in the top 100.
    - Scored 700 on the Graduate Management admissions test. A score of 700 and above is considered Mensa level and I am officially entitled to send my results into Mensa and be accepted into that organisation. I don't want to join as am anticipating the other members will have pedestrian minds and not worth talking to. Prefer talking about rugby league instead.
    - Am an INTJ according to MBTI profiling. INTJs are created by nurture rather than nature and all of us read a vast amount of books as young children which created inquisitive and sometimes an overly creative mind. My mother was an english teacher and was taken to the library every four weeks for 5 to 10 different books all of which I would read.
    - Socially I have great difficulty fitting in to most circumstances as I can't predict how "normal" people ie people with IQs in the range 100 to 115 will react to the things I say. eg I was chased off CW by an angry mob clutching pitchforks.
In my life I have 4-5 friends - only one of which is my intellectual equal and half way through a second long 5 hour marathon conversation with him I nearly started to cry as I finally found someone who could understand my points and have an advanced thought they could add as a rejoinder instead of just nodding their head like others.

    You happy with that answer

Yes I was creating a bit of mischief by putting Blocker in that mix. But even in jest I am always partly serious and would love to have a conversation with Blocker.
I have discovered there are two or three versions of intelligence:
    1) Book smarts - most of my fellow students at Northwestern could easily score 90% plus on an exam without breaking a sweat but found they could only regurgitate rather than apply their knowledge later. In reality most book smart people are actually dumb when push comes to shove.
    2) Incisive intelligence - Here people like Blocker in my view, who may be as dumb as a brush about calculas may have something quite valuable to say to me about how to be a success in life, or how to achieve your goals, or how to fit into a footy team environment with so many different characters. People with incisive intelligence get to the heart of an issue quickly and can speak about the solution at an abstract level in general for such problem set types. Incisive intelligence people come from all walks of life and may or may not have higher education. I am sure you can relate to the point I am making.

This is a genuine answer - no flames please.

@Boobidy Here is one of my pet theories for example that other people have trouble grasping but I think is quite interesting.
The fundamental difference between people with incisive intelligence and people who are just book smart or have average reasoning skills. Is that average thinkers over depend on the dominant variable in the equation or circumstance for reaching their conclusion.
This tendency to rely on one dominant variable is both a strength and a weakness from a decision making perspective. Often times the most dominant variable does supercede all others and can lead the decision to be adroit at separating out emotion and sentimentality and just focussing on the critical success factor.
This tendency to look at one variable can lead to over applying a valuable lesson learned however or re-using a good practice that worked previously in a context where it is blatantly inappropriate if multiple factors had been applied.
The disadvantage of people with multiple factors in their minds is analysis paralysis and a fear to act because of over awareness of the complexity and pitfalls of the situation.
As such many management decision making textbooks preach single variable or dominant variable decision making as a preferred style for executives who must make a myriad of extremely complex and sensitive decisions on a daily basis.

    Thanks

Depends on your definition of a retard. If the standard definition then no as I demonstrated.
If however you are arguing from an emtional intelligence quotient where the EQ is measured by the abilty to navigate through the complexities of life by accurately predicting and managing the emotions of nincompoops. The guilty as charged would be retarded from that perspective. But not so much as have grown older as you tend to just remember what works and doesn't work even though I will never have a gut feel for how the proletariat will react.

No flames please. Just addressing your ever so slightly incendiary observation.

I am going to not post for a while as I feel resentment brewing on this web site like it did at CW before I was viciously abused quite personally by a sociopathic Indian Poster named Zorax and then 40 to 50 other people, literally that many, joined including being ripped apart by people I thought were my online friends. It was fucking nasty and they asked subtely where I worked towards the end and at that point I fled as fuck knows what they were planning.
Completely out of control cyber bullying. Admin including Cribb James Spark etc turned a blind eye as they wanted me to get my beats.

    Yeah fair enough
    Probably guilty of that
    Especially when I was young
My mum gently teases me about that
The timing for the cooking instructions the other day said 12 minutes
“Now hurricane I am going to take them out of the oven now even though it is only 11 minutes are you ok with that son?” and then she laughed at me good naturedly.

On a personal note boobiddy I like you. I like the direct yet kind manner you hold me to account!!!

You've gotta watch out for those indians, they always rely on mob advantage. They know you can just walk around one piece of poo so they form up to create a river of sewage.

Am going to move this thread on from Blocker Roach to the infamous Gary Jack assault by Ian Roberts.

Ian was given very light punishment by the Judiciary despite the fact that Gary Jack's face was completely disfigured and that secondly it was an act of thuggery since his Manly team mate held Jack's arms behind his back so that Roberts can unleash while Jack was powerless to defend himself.

There are two theories as to why the judiciary went light on Roberts and I would to ask those who remember the incident which is true? and will also see if I can dig some articles on it later today...

    1) Gary jack was good two shoes who wore super man style swimming togs to the public pools, and basically was a the kid who snitched on others at school. Nobody liked Jack.

    2) Jack taunted Roberts earlier in the match by calling him derrogaotry homosexual slurs knowing full well Roberts was gay.

Will see what I can dig...

    Is it his fault
I heard about that concern with his son
Or is the son at fault
    Or no one knows?

    Hi toolman thanks for asking

Jacinda is an astute decision maker who saved New Zealand from Covid. We have no community cases and life here is like Covid doesn’t exist
She also brought me and many other kiwis to tears and was our spiritual leader after the Christchurch massacre with an automatic rifle last year.
She is the greatest leader presently in the world and our finest prime minister we have ever had. Out entire country Is gaga over her and she just barnstormer to a landslide election victory. She is my hero. And my country’s hero.

Hilary is a real person. Bill cheated on her with countless women. He humiliated her as a woman by preferring other sexual partners Over her.
    But life is hard
    Life is hard for everyone
She made the best of it and moved forward. And sometimes the hardest leadership is leading ourselves when dealt a horrific set of cards.
Hats off to her as a lady and a human being.
