Well War Machine and Eevee are doing alright, just wish I could catch some pokemon already, feel like I'm dropping behind a little already.
It generally helps if you ask to catch more than just the Pokemon that only have a 5% chance of appearing.
Given 12 encounters there's still 28% chance of you not encountering what you wanted if you only wanted a single 10% chance Pokemon.
Yeah if there's a low% Pokemon that everyone seems to want I think it's worth catching anyway even if you don't actually want it yourself, particularly given Gen VI exp mechanics. Excellent trade bait for the scores of people that inevitably miss out on what they want.
